c'est moi.: May 2008

I'm stuck with words cos I'm a little mental blocked for the weirdest reasons that I could ever think of.. So I'll get straight to the point. Oh before that, please congratulate me cos I'm second time being an aunt of a new born baby girl. My cousin from M'sia gave birth to her this morning. heh!

Yesterday, I finally met out with ah jie, mq and pon and you could say that it's our super delayed meeting since last year. Gosh and I'm so glad that I went anyway.

Met at PS and it poured super heavily (luckily I didn't take the bus) and I waited for quite some time for the rest to arrive. Finally one by one arrived, but before that me and mq went up to the gv counter, initially wanted to catch a movie, but we abandoned the idea of catching the movie and headed to "the japanese village" A.K.A "Ri Ben Cun" (also jii's favourite) to have a light snack, cos we were feeling quite hungry then walked over to Raffles City and there you have it, we went to "the Spoon" where ah jie and pon ordered mushroom soup and extra buns. HAhaa..

After that we walked over to Clark Quay but before that we were walking to the wrong direction (thanks to... I don't know who directed us anyway I just follow the crowd.. lol), and finally after awhile we reached our destination! Woo Hoo! We came to this bar bristo place called "Timbre". It's just beside the art house and the Raffles statue was just next to it. It's quite happening there later in the night cos we were there like quite early. At that time, Pon was already feeling so restless that she didn't have the mood to eat.. Not even a piece of succulent drumlet tempt her successfully.

The live band came into action about half past nine, and I felt that a couple of them looked quite shuai! Hahaa. The lead singer was an indian.. So for that I've got nothing to say, but I think there was a malay guy and a chinese guy, for at one moment I thought they looked quite charming eh.. Cos they went on stage and played the guitar and they looked... =X HAHAHA. Then MQ and Pon were like.. "Na li hui shuai" and I told them in hokkien " no fish, prawns also can la.." =x =x =x

OHHHHHHHH THIS IS THE THIN CRUST PIZZA THAT IS super nice!!!! It's about 20 bucks for 2 flavours. Damn nice.

They ordered chicken wings... and MQ and ah jie was eating...

and eating... non stop! MQ finished the entire basket almost immediately!

Lastly a pic taken in the toilet... While we were walking to the toilet we passed by the 2 guys I mentioned earlier and they were singing "I'm yours" by Jason Mraz. Was amazed by them a little.. (:

That was our night and I enjoyed and had so much fun with you all!

Haven't blog for a few days, cos I was really really busy with all the events and activities in the past 3 days! No time to rest! So now since I'm gonna stay home the whole day today, I shall blog all, together in one post. =) It's will be really long, but I hope you guys will enjoy this post!

23rd MAY: Graduation Day

Graduation day was a success! There was alot of commotion when we were preparing to go to the auditorium. When we went in from behind, parents and guests were all turning their heads back to find their sons and daughters. My mom then saw me and took several pictures.. I was feeling pretty embarrassed! =x About 10 something, I saw my ex-principal Mr Loke walking into the auditorium. I felt soooo happy!

Then we had to wait for the VIPs to come. We rised as they came. We sang the national anthem that I've never sung it since after Sec 4. The speech by the VIP guests were pretty boring and I saw many dozing off and mak stoning! HAHA! The first MC came out and followed by my all-time favourite lecturer, EUGENE PANG! Shuai manz. I kept telling jii to take a pic of him on stage =X

By the time it was our turn to go up on stage and take the diploma, the auditorium was filled with anxiety. I felt extremely nervous. I kept adjusting the gown cos the hook came off everytime I tried to adjust. Stupid gown.. and it's so freaking ex. Anyway, when it was my turn, EP READ MY NAME (he did all for the marketing students and his pronounciation was really good) and I walked to the guest of honour to take the diploma from him, and I almost forgot to look into the camera and smile! Hahah! So embarrassing!

I'm really proud of being part of MK0502. ;)

Alas, the ceremony ended around 11am. We took lots of pictures, I finally met jiji's family! We went the the lounge to have our refreshments and took alot alot alot of pictures that day!

MARTIN HANG! He's a very interesting guy. Let me share with you what happened the day. I saw him and he came up to me and jii and congratulated the both of us. I tried to remind him of "xiao hu" (the lizard) that we used to bring during his hrm tutorials but he forgot. -.- So I told jii, "jii, you see la, we grad le then he forget xiao hu already.. Bo xim one..." Then he said,"What I teach you? POM? QM?" I said,"HRM la... Walao.. Really bo xim manz... Cannot remember what you taught us..."

He had this suspicious look on his face, which I think that he thought that I'm trying to kid him, so I brought up Xiao hu to refresh his memory by saying, "Eh Sir, then you cannot forget xiao hu ah." HE asked who xiao hu was and I told him it was his friend. HAHA!! "My friend? From where?" Then we explained to him about the xiao hu that we brought to his lessons. Then he remembered. So slow. =X

Then Mr Hang said something like, "aiya don't call me sir la.. You call every lecturer sir.. then I not special already.." Then I reacted by saying,"Orh, Ok lor, Martin.. =x" Then he widened his eyes and said,"Ya la.. that's the way ma... You graduated already.. Never mind la! It's okay to call me by my name." I still feel weird when I call him Martin. Sounds a little disrespectful. After that we went to Cheers to get some drinks and we saw Martin Hang and I called out,"Eh! Martin!" HAHAHA! Funny manz... Then he said,"eh, you shi ni men ah.." We exchanged good-byes and that's the end of it!

Oh this pic is really funny cos we took it on the platform. Can you see who is that? HAHA. Yea.. GGY! Me, mak and jii were waiting for the train when I suddenly saw this person looked exactly like guan yi.. And I told them to look quickly. Jii took out her cam and took a pic of her.

We then took the train to Orchard and walked to Far East to find my present which we eventually found it (you will see the top later I wore it on my birthday). Special thanks to Mak for treating me to the jap restaurant for my bday, it was really really nice man. I love it. (:

24th MAY: My birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! This was the day I didn't want it to come cos I'm officially older by a year. Felt so sad at one point of time. I thought it would be another ordinary Saturday, but it turned out to be a surprise! (seriously I wore until like shit as in the shorts don't match the top cos I thought I'd only be going for dinner with my parents after class.)

I was quite late for class cos my dad drove me there, and we went to Newton to grab a quick bite before my class commences.

When I reached there, usually it's kinda crowded, but it was empty. Luckily I saw Evelyn walking into the building and I guessed I was not the only late comer. Hehe. Manu was already in class when we walked in, and there were only 6 students in the class and for the day. Everyone was trying to be mysterious lor, and I smelled something fishy. Class still was as fun as usual, and while doing the exercise, I saw Paul acting a little... weird.

I think I drank too much water, and (heng ah) break was nearing, and I can feel my bladder exploding. When Manu announced,"Ok, maintenant on prend un petit pause..." Immediately I got out of my seat and chionged to the toilet. When I came out, I saw Wendy outside, trying to prevent me from going into the classroom by saying, "wait for Evelyn, she's in the toilet." Then she still told me that that other teacher was in which class and stuff. Everyone was WEIRD. So we waited for Evelyn to be out of the toilet and then Karen came so we chatted awhile before we headed back to the classroom. Then.. I saw THIS:

an OREO CHEESECAKE! Design's a bit funny, but it looks good. 3 layers. SINFUL!!! Paul personally made it himself.. FOR ME!!!!! (with others chipping in for the ingredients) According to what I know, he took a cab here to prevent it from melting and took it to the Olio Cafe. When I walked in, I saw a birthday cake there, and I almost cried manz. I felt so freakingly touched. First time in my entire life, my 20 years, someone actually baked a cake for me. Sheesh. (the top was what mak and jii bought for me)

After taking pictures, they sang the birthday song.. in FRENCH, and I felt like I was in heaven. I was over the moon. I was overjoyed.

I took out my "jue zhao".. the huge lollipop. Manu saw and he looked kinda shocked and asked me why is the lollipop so huge and how to eat it. LOL. He doesn't know that inside has 15 small lollies! I told him,"you have to lick it slowly." and he gave me the =.= face when Grace told him that there are small ones inside.

After we cut the cake and all, I went to look for Karen to give her a piece of cake. Manu and Paul went with me. My teacher was so freaking funny manz.. He didn't knock the door. He banged the door, then he opened, I went in and told Karen that the cake was for her. I think she was a bit confused cos she still asked what was the cake for. LOL. They told her that it was my birthday. ((((: Karen also gave me 2, and wished me H.B. Then one of the guys in her class said, "Why not sing her a birthday song?" AWWWW SO SWEET RIGHT?!!! The whole class, more than 10 people.. I think about 20... Sang the bday song in french.. AGAIN!!! Gosh manz.. I'm a happy girl!

After class, I went to look for Shenaz to give her a piece of cake!

I hereby thank my french classmates a billion for making my day wonderful and memorable in AF.

After class, my parents took me to Turf City. We were having seafood for dinner! LIVE SEAFOOD! On the way there, I showed my mom how Manu looked like. And she said,"zhe yang lao.." And I asked her to guess his age and she said 30. I told you people before that he was 36 right. HAHA. Wooo hooo~ Feeling so excited while I blog sia. My dad asked me if I would be going to Penang to attend Ying Ying jie jie's wedding dinner suddenly and I told him I can't cos of french class. My mom told him,"aiya, her teacher so handsome, where she want to go..." HAHA. IS it true? I haven't got a single clue myself, but he's really good looking, and he's the motivation for me to do well in french! Tell you all a secret.. I look forward to go to his class every week! I feel sad when class ends! =x

These were my sumptous dinner:

lobster (from australia) sashimi. Poor fella, he had to die for me. I felt so bad! My dad told me that por por once said that anything that back face the sky can be eaten. But it was good man, the meat was really sweet and ex! And it's still moving!

You can see that my positions stayed almost constant. Reason was, I was busy observing the lobster cos it was still moving! I took a couple of videos but the file is too big to be uploaded here.

Next was my all time favourite, raw OYSTERS (from canada)!

French Turbot. This was the nicest fish I'd ever eaten (not because it's french)!!!!! Best if you pei with rice.

Alas.. The overall bill... It's rather ex, but it's the best seafood that I've ever eaten and it is definately worth the money.

After dinner, we decided to go home, but my dad asked my mom if she wanna watch people dance at Raffles Town Club. And as I was wearing shorts and slippers, I don't think I can make it cos they have dress code for both ladies and gentlemen. But we went ahead, of course I didn't stay there for long. I had the urge to bowl so we went bowling instead.

We had two games, and look at the scores:

Halfway through I'm scoring only pathetic 42 and my dad was already far ahead in front of me. Sheesh. My skills deteroriated already manz. Too long didn't play and most of the times I was draining.

That's the final score for round 1. The round 2 scores was 71 for me and 96 for my dad. Sad to say, I didn't exercise for a long time, and when I bowl, I pulled my muscle.. on the butt. Now my left leg feel sore. Sore enough to keep me awake.

After that I went to the arcade and played a game of Daytona. LOL.

This year's birthday was very very different from the previous years. Every year was a memorable one, especially this year, on my 20th birthday. My friend baked a cake for me, I had many friends that pre-celebrated my birthday for me. I made full use of my day, which was really the kind of thing I wanted. I wished that the moment could stay a little longer. And until today, I still wished it was last Saturday, because I still can't get enough of it. Maybe I'm a little too greedy, but I am really really happy.

25th MAY: The day I spent in my dad's office.

I promised my dad the other day that I'd help him wash his cars on Sunday and I really did. Went there in the afternoon and he da bao-ed nasi brayni from Macpherson road (that stall sells really good pratas and brayani). Ate lunch in his office, and started to help him pack the stocks. I was yawning non-stop and I can feel my brain lacking of oxygen. Felt so exhausted cos I woke up at about 7 in the morning to deliver cake to my aunty and Sue Ling jie jie. At the end of the day about 5, we packed 7 cartons. Then he had a petite teabreak and then we went down to wash the cars!
